Janine Stone is thrilled to be part of an elite group of luxury interior designers that make up the House & Garden Top 100 for 2015.

She has a reputation for working on super-league homes and top-end developments, but in person Janine Stone is thoughtful and creative. She puts the client at the heart of every design believing that each home ‘should be a perfect fit’. For her team of 50, that is the cue for expertly crafted bespoke furniture, unique decorative finishes and globally sourced antiques and art.
Today Janine heads a multidisciplinary practice with UK offices in London and Cheshire and Associates in Moscow and New York. With a focus on private homes, Janine’s projects include the refurbishment of a mews house in Belgravia; the re-imagining of a significant house in Kensington; a new build residence in Surrey; the restoration of an Arts & Crafts jewel in Kent and a contemporary new-build residence in Israel.
Most unusual design request?
‘An oval library for a devoted collector of first editions and rare books: we measured every book, and the cabinets were finished in Swiss pear, maple and leather. The result was a triumph.’
